ZPMC delivers batches of automated equipment to Tuas Port

Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries (ZPMC) has announced that the first batch of two double-trolley quay (DTQ) cranes and two automatic rubber mounted gantry (RMG) cranes to the Tuas Port, Singapore.

In an online update, the China-based supplier of port and terminal equipment said it customised an automated DTQ cranes with the world’s largest configuration and fastest speed on the market.

Additionally, they also have large-scale single-boom automated RMG (ARMG) that “adapts a network security system to ensure the data security of the subsystems.

The PSA Tuas Port’s first two berths are expected to be ready for operation by the end of 2021, and once completed, this mega-port will be the world’s largest fully automated port.

The news is the latest innovation made by ZPMC, which has continued to deliver automated technologies to ports and regions around the world, despite the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In March 2021 it delivered five cantilever rail-mounted gantry (CRMG) cranes to Peel Ports as part of the expansion of the Port of Liverpool.

Prior to that Global Ports put two of ZPMC’s RMG cranes into operation at the Vostochnaya Stevedoring Company (VSC), the largest container terminal in Far East Russia.
