DP World implements software for cargo handling in the Philippines
DP World has completed the implementation of its CARGOES TOS+ Terminal Operating System at the Asian Terminal Incorporated (ATI) Batangas Container Terminal in the Philippines.
The terminal is a key port in the Philippines, with capacity for over 450,000 TEU annually.
The CARGOES TOS+ system is integrated with the ATI Batangas WebTrack community portal and its billing system, allowing ATI employees to manage digital transactions from vendors more efficiently.
DP World has designed the software to help optimise and improve operational performance at maritime terminals.
“We are proud to continue our long-standing partnership with ATI Batangas Container Terminal as it moves to a more efficient terminal operating system,” said Mike Bhaskaran, Group Chief Operating Officer of Digital Technology at DP World.
“The deployment of DP World’s CARGOES TOS+ system will support ATI employees and scale with the growing requirements of ATI’s global operations.”
Rodrigo Sanchez, Vice President – Operations at ATI Inc. Philippines, added: “Moving to CARGOES TOS+ will allow us to take advantage of the full CARGOES by DP World offering and continue providing value to our customers from around the world.”
The company has further announced the launch of the CARGOES AVA+ Automated Gate System at the Philippine’s terminal in May.
Last week, DP World released container volume figures for the first three months of 2022.
The company handled a total of 19.3 million TEU across its global portfolio of container terminals, a growth was primarily driven by the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe and Africa, and Americas regions.
