Yilport orders new STS crane fleet for Portuguese terminal

Yilport Holdings (Yilport) has ordered four ship-to-shore (STS) gantry cranes for its Liscont Container Terminal in Lisbon, Portugal, from Mitsui E&S Machinery Co. Ltd.

In a statement, the terminal operator said the cranes will be delivered in 28 months and have been ordered to support growing volumes at Liscont.

They will have an outreach capacity of 22 rows and and a span of 18 metres. According to Yilport, the cranes will have “state-of-the-art” anti-sway and anti-skew control.

There will also be automatic transferring functions from seaside to land side with safe height, ship-profiling system, and truck position system.
