Arrow Terminals upgrades cloud-based TOS with Navis Octopi
Arrow Terminals has signed a new subscription agreement with Octopi by Navis to increase efficiencies at its Port Manatee terminal in Florida.
Announced on 2 February, the upgrade will utilise Octopi’s cloud-based TOS to manage the 300,000 tons of goods handled annually at the company.
The upgrade is part of Arrow Terminals’ initiative to operate on a more modern platform to better support its customers. Arrow Terminals handles breakbulk cargo: focusing mainly on aluminium, lumber, and wood pulp.
“Arrow Terminals is very appreciative of the support given by Navis and Octopi staff during our search for a new TOS,” commented Chris Sheils, Director, Arrow Terminals.
“We believe Octopi has all the features we need and also know that Navis is continuously working on adding new features to Octopi with further potential benefits to Arrow Terminals,” he added. “We hope and expect this to be the start of a long and successful relationship together and look forward to optimising our operations with Octopi.”
Arrow Terminals chose Octopi due to its easy implementation process with zero upfront IT investment, and its ability to accommodate business processes with a more cutting-edge solution.
Martin Bardi, Vice President of Global Sales at Octopi by Navis, said the increased interest in cloud-based TOS from customers means Octopi was able to provide an upgrade solution small to midsize terminals without large upfront investment.
Bardi added the platform will give users “the tools to optimise operations and remain competitive with Octopi.”
“Our TOS will help Arrow Terminals’ stakeholders streamline processes and provide visibility into their cargo operations, and we look forward to seeing the positive business results they yield after Octopi is implemented,” he added.
