OOCL logistics to enhance business volumes on China Railway Express 9 November 2020

OOCL Logistics has signed a strategic agreement with Xi’an International Inland Port Multimodal Transportation Corporation which signifies a new milestone in providing an important trade corridor for shippers who wish to leverage the extensive China Railway Express (Chang’an) network.

OOCL Logistics has been working together with the Xi’an International Inland Port Multimodal Transportation Corporation to facilitate trade and provide best-in-class services since April 2020.

With a growing and strong direct customer base in the market of China, OOCL Logistics shipments via the Chang’an network have been rising steadily over the last six months with a monthly compound growth rate of 43%.

Commenting on this landmark cooperation, Robin Qi, Managing Director of OOCL Logistics (China), thanked its partner for their support and said, “Cooperation for new opportunities and cooperation for win-win outcomes are values we embrace in OOCL Logistics.

Xi’an International Inland Port Multimodal Transportation Corporation, (a wholly owned subsidiary of Xi’an ILT Group), is the sole operator of the China Railway Express (Chang’an) that links China to many European and regional destinations.

This express network is a trans-continental railway with high frequency services that currently operates 15 service routes and covers more than 40 strategic rail stations in total.

Departing from Xi’an, the capital city of northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, by 18 October 2020 there were 3,004 train deployments which moved millions tons of cargo to many European markets such as Germany, Belgium, Italy and Russia as well as Central-Asia.
