Maersk launches new end-to-end supply chain platform

A.P. Moeller-Maersk (Maersk) has launched Maersk Flow, a digital platform designed to help customers and related partners take control of their end-to-end supply chain.

In a statement, Maersk said the solution enables “transparency in critical supply chain processes” and ensures the flow of goods and documents is executed according to stakeholders’ plans.

Furthermore, it also cuts manual work and the risk of costly mistakes, while empowering logistics professionals with all the current and historical data they need to sustainably improve their supply chain, according to Maersk.

“We are very excited to release Maersk Flow, which will give these customers a digital supply chain management tool that is designed specifically for their needs,” aid Martin Holme Global Head of SCM & E-commerce Logistic, A.P. Moller – Maersk.

“Maersk Flow will allow our customers to significantly improve their supply chain performance with less time and effort.

“This lets them focus more resources on their core business and achieve happier customers and higher sales growth”.

The carrier said that Maersk Flow can specifically help small and medium-sized businesses, which are seeing their operations becoming increasingly global, complex and fast-paced.

This is because the supply chains of said companies are usually managed manually via spreadsheets, emails and phone calls, which leads to a lack of visibility and control, and ultimately higher costs.

Maersk said Maersk Flow further extends itscustomer reach and strengthens the company’s position as an industry leader in digital solutions
