Visible SCM becomes a Maersk company

Business-to-consumer (B2C) logistics company Visible Chain Management (Visible SCM) has become ‘Visible SCM – A Maersk organisation’.

Following the announcement of its acquisition from Maersk in August 2021, the company has begun to share, collaborate and integrate some of its functions within the Maersk organisation.

To strengthen the link between the two parties, the logistics company, which is focused primarily on B2C parcel delivery and B2C fulfilment services in the US, has received the new endorsement line ‘A Maersk Company’ to use in its branding.

The company’s main goal is to be the leader in e-fulfilment and parcel delivery, creating integrated solutions for its customers that they cannot get anywhere else, a statement by Maersk said.

Maersk initially acquired Visible SCM to build up its end-to-end supply chain portfolio. To continue adding to this portfolio, Maersk also acquired Dutch company B2C Europe Holding B.V. (B2C Europe). Announced in October 2021, the acquisition was said to be worth $86 million after IFRS 16, and revenue is predicted to be around $140 million.
