Congestion changes MSC’s shipping schedules

MSC has released two statements to announce upcoming adjustments to its sailing programmes on the Asia-US-Canada and Australia-Asia networks.

The company will update its sailing programme on the Asia to US and Canada network to match departure dates from Asia.

The change will take place due to the current congestion across the supply chain.

MSC has notified its customers to proceed with bookings as usual whilst alternative routes will be arranged.

The details of the adjustment are set out below.


A further change has been announced to MSC’s New Wallaby and Panda services operating between Australia’s east coast and eastern Asia.

The southbound New Wallaby service will stop operating after the Christa Schulte vessel’s departure from Qingdao on 29 April. The last northbound call in Sydney is scheduled for 22 May on the same ship.

The Panda service will be updated by adding a port call in Qingdao and it will operate on a stand-alone basis.

For the current rotation, the last call southbound will be the JPO Aquarius in Shanghai, with the last call northbound from Melbourne scheduled for 20 May on the same vessel.

Earlier last month, MSC announced a new direct service connecting the Port of Gothenburg to the United States and an additional service connecting the ScanBaltic to the US East Coast.
