Ocean Network Express expands reefer fleet offering

Ocean Network Express (ONE) is continuing to expand its current refrigerated fleet by adding an extra 27,500 to its portfolio.

Some 850 of the units will be equipped with advanced Controlled Atmosphere (CA) technology to meet growing demand for refrigerated cargo around the world.

ONE is also working towards the application of the latest IoT technology into its fleet of reefer containers, providing real-time visibility of critical information such as temperature and humidity inside the container – enhancing cargo care during the voyage.

Hiroki Tsujii, Managing Director, Marketing & Commercial in Ocean Network Express (ONE), said, “ONE now has one of the largest and youngest reefer fleet in the world, equipped with the most advanced technologies designed to handle perishable cargo demand.

“Since inception, ONE has been consistently investing in new reefer containers, which in turn has helped to position ourselves in a strategically important & growing business segment.”

The expansion of the reefer fleet follows a 5000-unit investment (all 40’ Reefer High Cube) by ONE in 2020.
